The 3Shape Trios is an award-winning intraoral scanner that gives a digital impression of the patient’s teeth. This technology has been a game-changer, as it makes your experience in the chair much more comfortable. Unlike a traditional mould, which can feel awkward and have an unpleasant taste, the wireless scan is quicker and more comfortable. With its ergonomic and practical design, we can easily communicate with you while scanning your teeth.
We use the Gemini 810 + 980 diode laser, a dual-wavelength soft tissue diode laser. The unique dual-wavelength technology combines the optimal melanin absorption of an 810-nanometer wavelength laser with the optimal water absorption of a 980-nanometer wavelength laser. The Gemini features super-pulsed power, which translates to faster, cleaner cutting with less tissue tagging and less unnecessary thermal damage, and therefore less post-operative pain.

The Ministar S is an innovative thermal moulding technique that we use at Maidstone Dental that is quick, compact and precise.
The Ministar heats one side of the mould’s material, which is placed directly over the model, leading to an increase of the surface temperature of up to 60°C. Thanks to this principle, precise and custom-fitting results for all material thicknesses from 0.1 mm up to 5.0 mm are guaranteed. The unique thermostatic control of the heater ensures constant heating temperatures, regardless of external influences, such as room temperature and line voltage. Perfectly heated material and reproducible moulds are the results.

When people think of teeth whitening, many think of old-school teeth whitening lights that used to generate heat and made teeth more sensitive. This is less of a concern with newer technologies like Phillips Zoom as they do not generate heat. The light isn’t doing the bleaching; it only initiates the bleach.
